Williams Birne (pears) How to Serve Fruit Spirits We recommend serving fruit spirits cool (5 - 12°C). They may then vary in temperature according to individual taste. To develop their full genuine aroma, fruit spirits should neither be kept nor served deep-frozen. Fruit spirits are supposed to be classical digestives and the most proper drinks to end an elegant dinner. Recommended varieties are an exquisite "Himbeergeist" served together with espresso or mocha coffee, as well as with chocolate, or "Kirschwasser" together with a cup of coffee, known as a Black Forest speciality "Kaffee Kirsch".
