Izarra 54
Izarra 54 is a liqueur made of plants and spices with age-old accents as it reproduces the historical Green Izarra recipe as closely as possible, the one our ancestors drank in the 1900s. With a 54% ABV (108 proof) as was the case back in the day, Izarra 54 is made with exclusively natural ingredients such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, coriander, wild thyme, angelica, anis and peppermint. Its elaboration is subtle and highly complex, but it has a very pleasant taste and the strength of the alcohol does not overwhelm. An intense, brilliant plant green strikes the eye. On the nose, peppermint, saffron notes, the freshness of plants and the mellowness of exotic spices stand out. On the palate it is full-bodied and opulent, with aniseed and minty notes, a little liquorice, fresh mint and prunes combining for an intoxicating aroma. The finish is refined, balanced, fresh and long on the palate.
