Diez y Ocho Cream Sherry

"The Original Aged Cream Sherry." A blend of Rare Oloroso sherries ranging in age from 18 to 30 years with the addition of a special Pedro Ximenez that is over 25 years old. The Sherry is authentically described on the label as "Matured In Oak For 18 years." It is a wine of extraordinary depth and character. Very deep chestnut color; the nose has concentrated scents of nuts, oak, and raisins; the taste is a multy layered display of prunes, Pedro Ximenez sherry, and black raisins. It is somewhat less sweet than traditional Cream Sherries. This sherry is ready to be enjoyed now and will not benefit from further aging. It can be served at room temperature or chilled, not iced. Use as an aperitif or after dinner with fruit and desserts. Store tightly corked without refrigeration.
