Cranberry Vodka
Cranberries are sweet yet tart little berries with a unique flavor that is reminiscent of the holidays. But, they aren’t just for the holiday season. Their juice is also a widely used cocktail ingredient. So, it’s no surprise that a popular flavor of infused vodka is cranberry. Much like its berry counterpart, cranberry vodka has a sweet, tart flavor that lends a unique taste to your favorite vodka-based cocktails. While there are several popular brands of cranberry vodka on the market, you can easily make your own at home with just a few ingredients. Mix one pound of cranberries with one cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and place the mixture in a saucepan. Heat it and simmer for about 5 minutes or until the berries burst. Place the mixture into a glass container along with your favorite brand of vodka. Store for a week to let the flavors marry, then strain out the berries and enjoy.
