Caperdonich Single Malt Scotch 19yr - Cadenhead

Caperdonich 19yr Sherrywood Matured Lot 2 (115 Proof) One of Seagrams' distilleries in the town of Rothes. It is not sold under a distillery label, and only rarely appears in merchants' bottlings. It has a light bouquet, a very fruity palate, and a long finish. It is generally treated as the number two distillery for Glen Grant, just across the road. Unlike Glen Grant, which uses well water, it gets its water from the Caperdonich Burn. Roasted chestnuts for the nose. Although not a strong sherry, this malt does have a viscous treacle flavor to it. It affords a pleasant warmth to the sides of the tongue. An ideal dram to savor in front of a coal fire on a winter's evening.
